Filming Log

Today, Deanna and I started filming the main narrative sequence for our music video. These were the scenes in which Deanna would be seen with her first love interest - the stereotypical geek. This character is played by George Shelton who will also play the part of the 'hunk' in the scenes we are yet to film.

Mise-en-scene - this is a very important part of our genre of music video and in order to distinguish the two characters played by the same actor, we needed to be very obvious with our use of costume and props to he

Acting - the acting by both George and Deanna will play an integral role in conveying the message of our narrative. In order to distinguish George's two very different characters he was required to adopt mannerisms that made him seem stereotypically 'geeky'.

Shots - We used a series of shots. The main shot was a mid-two-shot which incorporated both Deanna and George. It allows the audience to see each characters reactions to what is going on and establish the narrative easily. We also used a series of close-ups which helped to show the artist and the character's facial expressions. We also used a close-up to show the geeky character writing a picture that expressed his love for Kira.
