Our Chosen Genre.

The Music Industry is becoming increasingly dominated by 'alternative pop'. This music brands itself as mainstream but appealing to a wider, often 'kookier' audience than that of the Pussy Cat Dolls Crowd. These musicians, often women, appear to be rebelling against pop conventions. Their image is a strong indication of this, with colourful, vintage clothing that 'leaves something to the imagination' unlike their sultry counterparts.

                   

These pictures show much loved pop-princess Britney Spears and the new, kitsch artist; Katy Perry. The main difference between the artists' music is also reflected in their image.
